Position Overview
Speedcast delivers highly customizable, complex communication solutions for new and expanding facilities. Our highly technical staff is well suited to support our customers with Professional Services to enhance their value in the market and to their shareholders. As a Regional Manager, Sales & Business Development you will be collaborating with a team of sales professionals and technical staff to grow the Professional & Technical Services business for Speedcast.
The Regional Manager, Sales & Business Development is a critical role dedicated to the Professional & Technical Services (PTS) product lines, which includes Professional Labor Services and Telecommunications System Integration (TSI) Services, also known as System Integration (SI). This role is essential for the growth of Speedcast's PS business and achieving revenue and EBITDA goals.
What you will do:
Identify & qualify opportunities in energy, agriculture, cruise, maritime, mining, and/or EEM business verticals with Telecoms Systems Integrator (TSI) scope.
Drive immediate customer engagement in the region with support from regional sales teams, which includes mining contacts and making cold calls to penetrate accounts and pursuing accounts independently when necessary.
Manage relationships with existing customers and report feedback to the PTS team.
Qualify, track, drive, and report on the status of opportunities.
Seek sole sourcing opportunities through partnerships or niche opportunities.
Register & qualify Speedcast in customer procurement systems for PTS scope of work.
Develop a winning sales strategy for each market in collaboration with PTS Management.
Manage local licensing and regional qualifications needed to conduct business, engaging with regional business leaders to ensure flawless execution.
Aid in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and identify potential tasks that achieve strategic goals.
Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices and margins for bids and proposals.
Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers.
Meet regularly with PS Management, Sales Engineering, and Ops teams to discuss winning strategies or new opportunities.
Train, collaborate & mentor Speedcast’s sales teams to drive PTS business development and revenue.
Maintain and share professional knowledge.
What we need from you:
Knowledge of Professional Services & TSI business operations
Industry knowledge of the Client/EPC relationships on large capital projects.
Technical or engineering background for mid-level technical discussions.
Experience in managing customer relationships and driving engagement.
Proven track record in negotiating prices and margins for bids and proposals.
Understanding of industry trends and customer drivers.
Competence in coordinating marketing strategies and achieving strategic goals.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and customers.
Ability to manage local licensing and regional qualifications.
Ability to work independently, and actively and confidently promote Speedcast’s Professional & Technical Services
Even better if you have:
Experience with regional business development in the specified verticals.
Proven history in generating revenue with smaller, quick win opportunities.
Experience in qualifying and quoting RFPs.
Ability to complete Customer Business Reviews, including active and future projects, customer contracts, roles, influence, decision-making ability, and sales strategy requirements.
