Key job responsibilities
- Develop relationships with senior leaders across organizations to gain and share strategic insights, serving as a trusted advisor on complex business decisions
- Influence across all areas and levels of the organization
- Conduct research, develop analysis, work with data science and business intelligence teams, and synthesize learnings to author proposals for initiatives of strategic organizational importance
- Oversee multi-year strategy initiatives and propose adjustments based on the latest data and observations
- Delivering highly complex, large scale, strategic initiatives from initiation through delivery, on time and with quality.
- Hiring, developing and managing a diverse bar-raising team to create a pipeline of future Amazon leaders while building an inspiring, high-performance environment that attracts internal and external talent.
- Relentlessly focus on identifying and delivering innovative, ‘think-big’ improvement opportunities which step change Sales Strategy capabilities.

About the team

We do strategy peculiarly at AWS. We are curious with deep knowledge of the industry and the levers shaping its futures, and we are responsible for the short-term tactics and the long-term strategy of our businesses. In the Sales Strategy team, we work closely with internal business leaders to glean their knowledge, incorporate data and information from external sources, and develop our own insights to inform and drive change across our global sales organization.
