At least 8+ years of experience in sales operations strategy
- At least 5+ years in mid-to-large scale B2B hi-tech companies
- Has worked closely with sales teams and is able to introduce innovative and high-impact changes to large teams
- Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies. Excellent cross functional collaboration skills.
- Organized and effective in ambiguous and complex situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

We are looking for a senior Sales Strategy Manager to innovate and work with cross-functional stakeholders in solving business problems for the APJ Commercial Sales organization. You will be part of the AWS Asia Pacific & Japan Sales Strategy team that partners with the APJ Leadership to identify strategic priorities, influence sales strategy, and lead strategic programs.
Key job responsibilities
- Developing innovative strategies around topics such as: Customer profiling and segmentation, territory design, sales role definition, sales force sizing, coverage design, leading and lagging performance metrics, compensation strategy, etc.
- Gathering and analyzing large datasets and field feedback to create data-driven insights and impactful proposals for improvement
- Leading end-to-end workstreams and virtual teams around Sales Strategy, delivering highly complex, large scale, strategic workstreams from initiation through delivery, on time and with quality.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners. Effectively communicating with, and influencing, senior stakeholders across multiple parts of the organization.
- Relentlessly focus on identifying and delivering innovative, ‘think-big’ improvement opportunities which create a step change in Sales Strategy capabilities.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Sales operations consulting or front-line seller experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of B2B sales environment
- Familiarity with cloud product and services, and sales cycles.
- Familiarity with Asia-Pacific and Japan markets
- Proven capability working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives.
