Regional Sales Manager

Lamons is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing new business in our assigned account base, as well as cultivating new accounts and developing relationships with key buying decision makers.
Key Responsibilities- Implement individual sales plans and programs that support the company's growth strategy.
- Responsible for sales and business development activity across the Asia Pacific region.
- Provide information to management on weekly activity logs and itineraries for forecasting targeted business and changes to annual forecasts.
- Develop formal sales strategies and account plans for each targeted account.
- Review sales performance each month and report findings to the supervisor, assessing performance against plan and taking corrective action as needed to improve performance.
- Communicate to customers an understanding of product standardization, product offerings, lead times, and credit approval procedures.
- Makes periodic sales visits to position the company as a leading-edge organization in customer satisfaction, meeting with each account at least once every six weeks and reporting the content of all contacts to the supervisor, including business issues and competitive activity.
- Participate in the development of individual performance plans.
- Call on past due accounts to improve cash flow.
- Adhere to travel and entertainment policies and budget requirements.
- Ensure customer follow-up for all corrective action problems, issues, and concerns, following up with customers who have a complaint in the system once a week, and traveling to customer locations as necessary to investigate quality problems.
- Be an active participant in all corrective action meetings to stay informed on customer, manufacturing, and supplier issues.
- Participate in sales and marketing meetings, workshops, and seminars.
- Implement the strategy for production standardization to minimize inventories and achieve manufacturing efficiencies.
- Maintain customer, contact, usage, and competitive information.
- Supply the supervisor with information to prepare quarterly business review reports for key accounts.
- Work with manufacturing management, quality management, and inside sales/customer service representatives to review customer specifications for improvements, following up with customers to implement changes.
- Provide market information back to the supervisor as to the company's competitive position, new trends, pricing, new customer needs, and value-added services.
- Provide on-site dimension measurements to customers when needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Knowledge of the gasket and/or fastener industry, and ISO requirements is a plus.
- Selling techniques, including the ability to perform effective presentations, motivate, persuade, and negotiate, and knowledge of contracts is a plus.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in Salesforce.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or an industry-related field is preferred.
- Formal sales training program is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience as an outside sales representative, with industrial sales experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and make presentations in front of small and large groups under intense pressure to persuade the audience.
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Travel up to 50% required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
