Job Summary

As a Bell Services Officer at Marriott International, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience for our guests. Your primary duties will include assisting guests with luggage, providing directions, and arranging transportation. You will also be responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and providing excellent communication skills to our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform concierge services and bell services
  • Maintain a professional appearance, pleasant personality, and good posture
  • Handle luggage for both arriving and departing guests, including proper handling, tagging, and delivery
  • Rotate shifts to perform duties at the driveway and work closely with the bell team and bell services supervisor/manager to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Be trained to handle luggage and equipment, including the Bell-Cart/Birdcage trolley
  • Understand and operate the property management system, OPERA
  • Deliver incoming items to guest rooms at the request of the bell services supervisor/manager
  • Maintain the luggage room and luggage trolleys in accordance with Marriott Brand Standards
  • Handle baggage-related requests, including long-term/short-term storage, and maintain proper records
  • Handle guest inquiries pertaining to tourist information when at the hotel lobby, driveway, and bell desk
  • Sort and deliver requested daily newspapers to all requested rooms
  • Process guest requests and forward requests to the concerning department if necessary
  • Maintain close liaison with all other departments to ensure operational flow and seamless guest experiences
  • Handle "hold for collection" duty according to standards
  • Handle mail/post inquiries
  • Track inventory related to bell services, including wheelchairs, umbrellas, luggage tags, and more
  • Provide information on Singapore, places of interest, tours, dining, entertainment outlets, and hotel information
  • Handle limousine bookings and monthly transportation reports
  • Maintain effective communication skills with guests and colleagues
  • Ensure work areas, lobby, and coach bay are clean and in order at all times
  • Record all daily activities in the daily log sheet for follow-ups or communication purposes
