  • Indonesian:

    Chicken: Sate Ayam, Ayam Bakar, Ayam Kalasan

    Rendang / Meat: Rendang Sapi, Rendang Domba

    Soups: Soto Ayam, Sayur Asam, Sop Buntut

    Seafood: Gurame Goreng, Ikan Pepes, Udang Sambal, Cumi Goreng

    Vegetables: Sayur Lodeh, Sambal Terong, Sambal Kangkong Udang

    Beancurd: Tahu Telor, Tahu Pot

    Appetizers / Salads: Karedok, Rujak Indonesia

    Desserts: Es Chendol, Es Teler, Es Alpokat

  • Malay: Nasi Lemak, Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Lemak Cili Padi, Sambal Goreng Pengantin, Rendang (local variant)
  • Mamak: Prata / Roti Canai, Nasi Biryani, Mee Goreng, Mee Siam, Mee Rebus
  • Must be capable of cooking in large volumes, serving 300–500 pax per session

  • Salary: $2,500 - $4,000/month, based on years of relevant experience:

  • Junior candidates will start as Kitchen Assistant/Junior Chef

  • Experienced candidates may qualify for up to Sous Chef position
  • Work Schedule: 6 days a week, 1 off day (typically Monday or Tuesday)
  • Working Hours (tentative):

  • Lunch: 10.30am - 3pm

  • Dinner: 5pm pm (likely to end earlier)
  • OT: Not Applicable
  • Allowances: Accommodation Allowance (to be arranged if shortlisted)
  • Meals: Provided
  • Nearest MRT: Tanah Merah station (shuttle bus service is available to and from the restaurant)

Job Scope:

  • Prepare & cook a variety of Traditional Malay and Mamak dishes
  • Create & experiment with new recipes while preserving traditional flavors
  • Oversee kitchen operations — manage inventory, equipment & supplies
  • Train & lead kitchen staff
  • Ensure cleanliness & food safety

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of Cooking experience in Hotel or Premium kitchen(s), specifically in Malay and Mamak cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of traditional & modern cooking techniques
  • Leadership & communication skills
  • Able to handle bulk cooking for catering

Interview Process:

After the 1st Interview (Virtual), there will be a Tasting Session where candidates are required to cook classic Malay/Mamak dishes to demonstrate their culinary skills.
