**About the role**:
The role will contribute to the implementation of the Sales and Marketing strategy in South East Asia Region by working on both direct and indirect sales.
**Major tasks and Responsibilities**
- Ensure technical training programs fit the needs of the customers in the region by adapting existing Distran materials and documentation.
- Discuss and understand customer’s detailed technical requirements, assess specific questions, and adapt the necessary training delivery approach
- Identify and acquire actively new customers, qualify, prioritizes accounts and opportunities to produce the best sales and profitability results
- Open, develop and retain relationships with clients and distributors partners in our target segments in the region which are active in the industry, in particular oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical
- Set comprehensive sales strategies based on turnaround activities and of targeted companies
- Actively acquire new customers, perform on-site demos, build relationships on all levels, achieve sales and follow-up in after sales, including product trainings to customers (onsite and remotely)
- Maintain a high awareness of gas leak detection market trends and the competition, their strengths, weaknesses, sales and marketing methods & share this information with internal stakeholders
- Plan, organize and implement marketing actions, participate on Exhibitions and Conferences Collaborate with a multi-functional team based at the Swiss headquarter in Zurich
- Responsible for data accuracy, CRM, activity reports, proposals and shipping instruction
**Your profile**:
- Bsc / MSc Engineering degree (Technical / Instrumentation / Mechanical) or Chemistry background
- Further education in Sales & Marketing would be preferred
- Working experience in Oil & Gas or a good understanding of the Oil & Gas and refineries, Chemistry and/or Power Plants sectors
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in an SMB, or start-up environment, selling of CAPEX equipment
- Proven track records in Technical Sales, Business Development and Account management, including managing indirect sales channels in the target industries
- Ability to lead, inspire and motivate our indirect sales channel partner, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
- Experience of working with engineering team for technical meetings
- Proven ability to work under pressure including the ability to cope with deadlines, multiple tasks, and competing demands
- Ability to approach different client levels, doing presentations and making on-site technical demos and training's. Persuasive and at ease in developing trust and negotiations
- Enthusiastic about promoting, Safety and Environment protection solutions
- Good to have: Experienced in selling test instruments such as acoustic imaging or similar test products
- Fluent in English (verbal and writing), Fluent Chinese/Mandarin (verbal and writing)
- Good computer skills, familiarity with CRM platforms
- Located in Singapore
- Willingness to travel (up to 70%)
- Driving - license
