As the Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving Technical Sales of major pursuits with Front End Sales within the organizational and functional guidelines, to secure orders and achieve order booking targets. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you need to act as enablers to address the customer needs for major Oil & Gas and Wind Offshore accounts and stay coordinated internally within organization. The position is based in Singapore / Malaysia.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Taking charge as Technical Sales Manager to be enablers for consultative selling, influencing the technical solution (E-House, Electrical, BESS, feasibility study, DIGITAL) for Offshore Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind industry
- Understanding the customer technical needs for business leads generated by FES / business development team and work hand in hand to position Technical Solution with customer
- Drive solutions of Energy Transition (Wind Offshore, BESS) with Operator / Developer / EPC / Technology provider and position ABB solutions
- Internal collaboration within ABB units for pursuing various large Offshore project jointly and lead the technical sales to secure order for ABB together
- Taking responsibility of defined countries for technical sales and work closely with FES to secure project
- Taking responsibility to deliver order intake for individual and team budgets along with FES team
- Exploring new technologies / solution with Global technology team towards decarbonization, Energy transition and DIGITAL for offshore industries and bringing it to customer
- Identifying and implement key technical strategies in winning a project
- Following business governance & control guideline and taking lead for seeking approval of large bids as per defined procedure
- Managing tender costing, commercial terms & conditions and involve in negotiation with both customers and vendors to achieve optimal result
**Your background**:
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Energy Industry with at least 5 years of Presales / Technical Sales and Engineering
- Strong knowledge & proven experience of E-House, Electrical System / solution for Energy Industries
- Knowledge & experience of BESS, Wind Offshore solution is added advantage
- Know-how and understanding of DIGITAL solution for Electrical assets
- Good technical presentation skill
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Automation)
- Knowledge of commercial and legal terms and project risk management
- Able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written), customer oriented, negotiate, persuasive, possess professional attitude and good team spirit
- Enjoy working in a wide variety of cultures and in many different sectors
- Motivated & Self driven individual
- Good spoken and written communication skills in English
