
Director of Sales

**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing, the **Director of Sales **is responsible for ensuring the yearly sales budget is achieved and surpassed by leading, directing and motivating the Sales team. The incumbent will achieve hotel targets by optimising revenue through an assigned account base, as well as prospecting new clients in assigned markets. Assigned markets may change according to hotel needs. The key measurement of performance will be performance versus revenue goals.
**OVERALL OBJECTIVES**
- Assist in the Management of the Sales Team especially in the absence of the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Attend internal meetings and conference calls, and client appointments and Client Events in the absence of the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Responsible for key account management on an all segments of assigned account, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets and increasing fair market share versus competitor set.
- Responsible for conducting site inspections, prospecting new accounts, entertainment of clients and timely contracting from the client base responsible for.
- Attend trade shows, sales blitz, workshops, etc. in the assigned markets.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing in defining an annual sales action plan and execute set actions accordingly.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing with the preparation of the annual budget by providing statistics and forecasts of account productions.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned according to needs of business and hotel
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Marketing, or a relevant field of work preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).
- Experience with Micros Fidelio Opera and Sales & Catering preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Possesses a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel.
- Goal oriented, innovative, creative, and decisive.
