Citi seeks a highly skilled Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team. As an intermediate-level professional, you will play a critical role in liaising between business users and technologists to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management

In this role, you will be responsible for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives for complex projects, fostering communication between business leaders and IT teams. Your exceptional analytical skills will enable you to consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards, recommending solutions as needed.

  • You will support system change processes from requirements through implementation, providing input based on analysis of information.
  • As a seasoned professional, you will consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provide user and operational support.
  • You will identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  • With your expertise, you will operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • You will appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Analytical Responsibilities:
  • You will understand business priorities, documenting requirements and determining solutions in partnership with vendors/internal teams.
  • Working hands-on with vendor and internal systems, you will ensure the trading platform is up to date with the latest offerings.
  • You will develop test strategies, document test scenarios, and execute test scripts.
  • Facilitating meetings with subject matter experts, you will obtain specifics on requirements.
  • Liaising with Operations and Front Office staff, you will ensure that required project artefacts are collated.
  • You will have the opportunity to interact with cross-functional internal teams across multiple levels, as well as interaction with external vendors.
Knowledge and Vendor Management Experience:
  • You will possess strong Business Analysis & Project Management experience.
  • Having an understanding of Futures and Options products and processes is essential.
  • Practical experience in analysis/design/implementation of successful projects in the Futures front office area is required.
  • You should have a good understanding of regulatory obligations for electronic trading.
  • Defining/documenting business strategies/requirements is a key responsibility.
  • A good understanding of the FIX protocol is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience in analysing trade data, familiar with order types, is required.
  • Experience in developing test strategies and coordinating with QA teams is essential.
  • Vendor Management is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Exposure to global stakeholders is expected.
  • Futures Electronic Execution Trading knowledge is a must.
  • You should be able to work and analyse mass data.
Qualifications:
  • You should have 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills are essential.
  • Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management, and prioritization skills are necessary.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • You should be able to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships.
  • Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail is essential.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
