Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and baking of a variety of artisan breads, pastries, and both sweet and savory baked goods for service.
  • Manage food preparation processes to guarantee consistent quality prior to service or dispatch.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards in storage practices.
  • Follow workplace safety protocols and maintain F&B hygiene standards.
  • Conduct maintenance on production equipment and facilities.
  • Control expenses, manage food costs, minimize waste, and uphold quality standards in line with established targets.
  • Administer inventory receiving procedures effectively.
  • Evaluate processes to enhance food quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate orientation and training programs for team members.
  • Assist in staffing and team management.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the food sector as a Pastry Baker.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, with a preference for candidates holding a certificate in pastry-making or baking.
  • Familiarity with production routines is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach are required.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
