Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at Marina Bay Sands. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the pastry department and ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence in all aspects of pastry production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the pastry department, ensuring efficient and effective production of high-quality pastry products.
  • Develop and implement new pastry recipes and menus, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage and maintain a high level of hygiene and sanitation in the pastry department, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Train and develop pastry team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Collaborate with other culinary team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of menu development and production.
  • Manage and control pastry department budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, ensuring that all pastry products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a team to achieve high levels of quality and excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry production, including recipe development, menu planning, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
