Library Support Specialist

The Senior Library Executive will be responsible for leading the User Services & Spaces team at NTU Library.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide High-Quality Service: Provide efficient and high-quality Service Desk duties that align with NTU Library's service excellence standards, including After Office Hours (AOH) services during designated weekday evening and weekend opening hours.
- Collection Maintenance Expertise: Perform and supervise collection maintenance activities for optimal resources accessibility.
- System Administration: Operate the Alma Library Management System efficiently and effectively.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Analyse current library processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train, guide and lead a pool of Student Assistants on delivering library operational tasks and procedures.
- Monitor User Spaces: Monitor and provide timely feedback on user spaces in the libraries in terms of cleanliness and condition.
- Troubleshoot and Maintain Equipment: Troubleshoot and maintain library equipment.
- Contribute to Projects: Contribute to service or space transformation initiatives or projects.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, including rostering of staff and Student Assistants, budget tracking, and procurement.
- Data Analysis: Provide relevant data and reports from the library system to facilitate decision-making by the management.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Diploma holder in a discipline with 3-5 years of work experience in customer service, or Degree holder with an interest in the job responsibilities.
- Academic Library Experience: Experience in operations, customer service or communications role in academic libraries or large libraries.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in executing innovation-driven or process improvements projects.
- Strong Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Good Organisational Skills: Good time management skill and ability to prioritize work well.
- Technical Competence: Good knowledge of MS Words, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Alma Library Management System: Knowledge of Alma Library Management System is an advantage.
