Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Library Partnerships and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our partnership and volunteer management team, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with local partners and volunteers to support the transformation and development of NLB's Library and Archives Blueprint 2025 (LAB25).
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Formulating partnership and volunteer strategies and operations to ensure high-value collaborations;
- Spearheading proposals, leading and managing local partnership projects and volunteer management, operations, and collaborations;
- Establishing and overseeing the development and establishment of volunteers policies, workflows, and procedures to manage volunteers efficiently;
- Developing relationships with corporate, schools, and individuals for effective volunteering experiences for the development of LAB25 initiatives;
- Facilitating workshops and discussions with internal stakeholders and volunteers in the planning of key LAB25 projects;
- Researching and evaluating NLB's relations with local partners and volunteers;
- Regularly reviewing the volunteer management strategy, including but not limited to, cultivating industry players in support of LAB25;
- Developing value propositions and pitches for corporate volunteers;
- Developing tiered benefits with different types of volunteers;
- Reviewing the volunteers system and portal to NLB and LAB25 initiatives;
- Managing a system of recognition and benefits package for volunteers, in support of LAB25 initiatives and projects;
- Leading ground-up community engagement activities with new revamped libraries;
- Training internal stakeholders for engaging community and volunteers at their libraries for retention and long-term collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in partnership and/or volunteer management;
- Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking);
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and organization skills;
- The ability to work effectively in different work situations;
- The ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team;
- A self-starter with an analytical and creative mind.
