About this role:
The HR Manager APeC serves as the local HR Partner and delivers HR service to the location, supporting managers and employees in APeC.. They provide high-quality, consistent support across HR activities and uphold company policies, employee relations and engagement.
This role plays a central part in managing team activities, developing HR practices and fostering a positive and supportive workplace environment.
This role supports all employees across APeC: Singapore, Indonesia, Australia & New Zealand, India, Japan, Vietnam, Philippines.
.Accountabilities:
- Provide coaching and guidance to manager employees on employee relations, policy interpretation and best practices.
- Monitor and enhance employee satisfaction by developing and implementing effective HR processes and engagement strategies.
- Support complex employee relations cases, including performance issues, conflict resolution and policy adherence.
- Coordinate with other HR functions to ensure alignment and consistency across HR activities, policies and procedures.
- Track HR metrics and generate reports on team performance, engagement and employee feedback.
- Oversee the implementation of HR policies and programmes, ensuring they are adapted effectively to meet team and organisational needs.
- Closely collaborate with People Services APAC on building an HR operations model in APeC
- Advise managers on (in collaboration with external counsel where necessary) and manage employment law-related legal risk in APeC, and protect the company accordingly.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of the policies, objectives, operations and related activities within an HR in Asia region
- Strong communication skills to persuade and influence stakeholders. The role needs to adapt styles, and interpret and explain information to different audiences throughout the organization who are not familiar with the subject matter.
- Resolve employee and HR-related issues that are complex or unusual requiring original thought, research, new approaches and analytical techniques.
- Proven ability to significantly influence sub-functional / sub-regional outcomes through effective decision-making for assigned teams
- Guides applying existing principles and contributes insights to the development of new policies and strategies.
