Software Support Specialist

Job Title: Software Support Specialist (Fresh Graduate)
Location: Singapore (Remote / Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented individual with a background in software development and maintenance to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have experience in Python coding and will be responsible for providing software support, hotline services, and onsite/remote troubleshooting.. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely with occasional onsite requirements in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities- Software Maintenance
○ Perform updates, debugging, and optimization of existing software solutions.
○ Maintain system documentation and version control.
- Customer Hotline Support
○ Provide first-line support to customers through phone, email, or chat.
○ Log and track issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers.
- Onsite and Remote Service Calls
○ Diagnose and resolve technical issues onsite or remotely.
○ Train end-users on system functionalities when required.
- Collaboration with Development Teams
○ Assist developers in testing new features or resolving bugs.
○ Provide feedback from customers to improve software usability.
- Administrative Tasks
○ Maintain support logs and prepare regular reports for management.
Qualifications:
● Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree or diploma in business focus relating to customer care, business analyst or technical focus on engineering, computer science and/or related field from a recognized Malaysian Polytechnic or University.
● Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python)
● Basic knowledge with software maintenance and version control system (e.g., Github)
● Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and troubleshooting techniques.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Possess analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
● Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience in software maintenance.
● Can speak Chinese (required to handle Chinese customers)
Preferred Qualities- Polytechnic candidates who do not need to perform NS.
- Prior internship or project experience in customer care or retail service
- Ability to work as a team and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
