Compensation & Benefits Specialist

A well established leader in the education industry is looking for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join their organization. In this individual contributor role reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will be responsible for the end to end comepensation and rewards scope. The ideal candidate must have strong excel skills with exposure to managing a large headcount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular compensation survey/benchmarking exercise, and gather market intelligence and research on the industry to ensure that the company remains competitive in attracting the right talent.
- Assist in reviewing the company's employee benefits programs and policies aligning to employer branding and employee value proposition whilst adhering to the minimum mandatory requirements.
- Conduct job evaluations and salary studies to develop and make recommendations on salary structures, keeping in mind internal and external equity.
- Support the implementation of all the staff benefits programs including health & medical insurance, paid leave, wellness plans, employee assistance program, staff discount, and other perks.
- Manage the benefits vendor selection, enrolment and renewal of these programs to provide the best value and are spent within the approved budget.
- Guide and advice the HR Business Partners and line managers in all compensation related matters from salary proposal, pay-mix, benefits policies.
- Administer performance appraisal and compensation processes which include salary planning, bonus planning and incentive schemes implementation.
- Serve as backup in payroll processing in the absence of the payroll lead and participate in HR projects as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- Possess a qualified Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with minimum 5 years of experience in compensation & benefits scope.
- Candidates who are HR Generalist with experience in compensation & benefits are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills is mandatory, along with an eye for data and number crunching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, topped with good knowledge in HR statutory laws and regulations
- Exposure to Unit4 Prosoft system is an advantage.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling large headcount, resilient and has the ability to manage complex employee issues topped with good time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met on a timely manner.
