We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to manage our kitchen operations and deliver high-quality meals that meet our standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and experience in managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Plan and develop menus in collaboration with management.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to taste, quality, and presentation.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and activities.
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor food stock and place orders as necessary to ensure consistent supply.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Manage food costs and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into menu planning.
*Job Requirements:*
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred.
- Excellent cooking skills across multiple cuisines (e.g., Western, Asian, fusion).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
