Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. Currently they are seeking a well qualified candidate to join them as " Senior Executive/ Asst / Manager (Chartering)(Tanker) ".

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Ensuring optimal utilization of the existing fleet of tankers, pre-fixture and fixture related activities.
  • Overseeing operations team on ship operations to ensure the tanker operations are carried out smoothly.
  • Participate in negotiations of chartering contracts and prepare voyage performance for management reviews.
  • Invite & obtain agencies' quotations from shipping agents before appointment
  • Compare & negotiate on agency rates
  • Monitor & liaise with agents on tanker movements
  • Vessel nomination
  • Drafting and reviewing charter party agreements
  • Monitoring market trends and trading patterns and collating of market information

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Maritime/ Business Administration/ Commerce/ Logistics Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of chartering experience with shipowners, charterers or ship operators or shipbrokers
  • Commercial savviness
