DESIGNATION : Business and University Partnership Manager, LKCSB
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB).
- Lead, plan and execute business to business programmes to recruit for post‐graduate programmes and source for jobs and internships for post‐graduate students. In collaboration with the PG leadership team, plan and ensure the complete fulfilment of the following:
- Find potential clients and develop relationships; Initiate marketing and sales outreach activities across the region; Improve business leader awareness of LKCSB PG programmes;
- Encourage business sponsorship of employees who wish to study at SMU; Source and secure internship and employment opportunities for SMU postgraduate students in assigned markets.
- Help implement strategies and plans to establish partnerships with universities
- Ensure all the above‐mentioned functions raise the standings, rankings and quality of all the school’s student quality and programme reputation.
- Assess university partners for collaboration.
- Other duties and special projects as requested by senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required; a higher degree is advantageous.
- At least 6 years of professional experience, ideally in education or consulting industry.
- Results‐oriented team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Adept at simultaneously managing multiple objectives and clients.
- Familiarity with the needs of corporate clients and university partners
- Ability to build relationships and interact well with faculty, staff, students, alumni, corporates and university partners.
- Good knowledge, comfort and ability with standard office technology, CRM and other online sales tools.
- Culturally adept in sales and marketing in China and other markets.
- Fluent in Mandarin - to communicate with Mandarin speaking contacts: must be able to speak, read, write & conduct presentation.
- A keen sense of ownership and accountability and act with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
- Able to travel and work extended hours and on some weekends.
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills. (Written and spoken), presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent time, resource and project management skill with strong ability to multi‐task.
- Self‐motivated, resourceful and able to work independently with ambiguity.
- Meticulous and team‐oriented with a strong desire to be successful.
- Able to think creatively and problem‐solve in high‐pressure situations.
- Strong work ethic as well as a dedicated and positive attitude.
