DESIGNATION : Business Partnerships Manager, Lee Kong Chian School of Business

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, plan and execute business to business programmes to recruit for post-graduate programmes and source for jobs and internships for post-graduate students. In collaboration with the PG leadership team, plan and ensure the complete fulfilment of the following:

- Find potential clients and develop relationships
- Initiate marketing and sales outreach activities across the region
- Coordinate as needed with other SMU areas
- Improve business leader awareness of LKCSB PG programmes
- Encourage business sponsorship of employees who wish to study at SMU
- Enrollment of new students based on B2B activities
- Ensure all the above-mentioned functions raise the standings, rankings and quality of all the school’s student quality and programme reputation
- Develop and implement strategies and business development plans to establish strong partnerships with corporates, industries, alumni chapters and other appropriate stakeholders in assigned markets
- Source and secure internship and employment opportunities for SMU postgraduate students in assigned markets
- Other duties and special projects as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required; a higher degree is advantageous
- At least 6 years of professional experience, ideally in education or consulting industry
- Successful track record of business development, revenue generation and client management
- Results-oriented team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Adept at simultaneously managing multiple objectives and clients
- Strong record of accomplishment of consultative sales
- Familiarity with the needs of corporate clients
- Familiarity in the use of Microsoft office suite of tools, CRM and other online sales tools
- Ability to build relationships and interact well with faculty, staff, students, alumni, corporates and external partners
- Good knowledge, comfort and ability with standard office technology, CRM and other online sales tools
- Culturally adept in sales and marketing in the Asia region
- A keen sense of ownership and accountability and act with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
- Able to work extended hours and on some weekends
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills (Written and spoken), presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent time, resource and project management skill with strong ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently with ambiguity
- Meticulous and team-oriented with a strong desire to be successful
- Able to think creatively and problem-solve in high-pressure situations
- Strong work ethic as well as a dedicated and positive attitude
