Sales Manager

**Primary Objective(s) of Position**:
- Responsible for achieving the sales target and revenue growth through developing new customer base and offering suitable logistics services or solutions in tandem with overall corporate directions and strategies
- Gather market intelligence and build strong working relationship internally and externally so as to achieve high customer satisfaction leading to increase in sales revenue
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Develop business plans and sales strategies that ensures attainment of company sales targets and profitability
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to acquire new business opportunities and accounts.
- Manage new and existing customers to deliver a high level of satisfaction
- Participate in identifying corporate sales planning and strategies
- Identify and enlarge targeted customer base and industry
- Conduct internal meetings or vendor meetings to formulate solutions.
- Ensure the complete and timely delivery of freight by attaining knowledge from clients to meet their needs and evaluate shipping instructions, Key Performance Indicators and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Define project scope and objectives which involves relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility
- Preparation and submission of proposals to customers
- Prepare and conduct corporate presentations and sales meeting
- Serve as the escalation point for unresolved transport issues, objections and claims
- Respond and follow-up on customers’ enquiries and requests such as RFIs and RFQs
- Drive the development of business cases to secure strategic projects, regular updates of project pipeline.
- Collate and submit sales reports and analysis via CRM
- Foster an environment of outstanding customer service with a focus on positive attitude, professionalism, and proactivity to maintain satisfactory customer relations.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Responsible for AR collections and bad debts resolution
- Discharge all account management responsibilities
- Responsible for hunting of new customers and growth areas
- Responsible for ensuring high customer satisfaction
- To commit and comply to HPL Occupational Health & Safety Management System
- To commit and comply to HPL Quality Management System
- Fulfil any other tasks as and when assigned
**Person Specifications**:
- Diploma/Degree in Sales or any other discipline relevant to the supply chain or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of land, sea, and air logistics for hazardous, nonhazardous, simple and complex cargo shipments.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in logistics or supply chain
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Result-oriented
