Job Description:

The primary function of a Construction Estimator is to conduct thorough assessments and analysis of construction projects, determining accurate material requirements, timelines, and costs. This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams as well as external contractors to ensure alignment with project specifications and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assess construction projects, calculating material needs and potential cost implications
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects
  • Develop detailed estimates for various types of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial constructions
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and optimize resource allocation
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the construction industry
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing project status and recommendations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as construction management, civil engineering, or architecture
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably within a medium to large-scale construction company
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and specialized software tools used in construction estimation
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of work
