Job Title: Senior Construction Estimator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage construction estimates for various projects, including tendering, pricing, and contract administration
  • Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate estimates and effective project delivery
  • Prepare detailed cost reports, schedules, and cash flow forecasts to support project decision-making
  • Maintain and update construction databases, including cost records, materials, labor, and equipment
  • Analyze and optimize construction costs to improve project profitability
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in a senior or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and construction estimating software
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and lean construction methodologies
  • Knowledge of construction management software and systems
  • Skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and cost forecasting
  • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish or Mandarin
