Medical Laboratory Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician with experience in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) to fill this challenging position.

The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or bachelor's degree in BioMedical/Life Science or a related field, along with 3 years laboratory hands-on experience in NGS technologies. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, including NGS assays, and assisting in the analysis and interpretation of test results.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Laboratory Testing: Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests from end-to-end genetic testing processes. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results. Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures to ensure accurate and consistent test results. Maintain laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS): Perform NGS library preparation and sequencing. Validate and troubleshoot NGS assays, ensuring reliable and high-quality sequencing data. Contribute to the implementation of new methodologies or protocols.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Document and maintain accurate and complete records of all laboratory procedures and results. Analyze and interpret laboratory data, generate reports, and communicate findings to the laboratory team and healthcare professionals. Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure timely delivery of test results and effective communication of critical findings. Assist in the preparation of scientific presentations, publications, and research projects as necessary.
