**Seed Genetics Analyst II**

To conduct seed molecular genetic testing in row crops. You will be required to collaborate with global platform functions to ensure strong partnership and knowledge exchange to enable successful delivery of strategies. Understand customer and stakeholder needs to work towards exceeding their expectations driving a customer centric mindset. Required to ensure quality enables supply and delivers products that comply with business, regulatory, and customer specifications. Prioritizing and defining Quality strategy and projects with regional seed technology & platform lead as well as with global platform leads

**YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Planning and execution of genetic purity testing using protocols defined by global platform functions with proper recording of data independently.
- Ensure timely data reporting as per defined TAT by Product Supply Service Level Agreement
- Acquires and maintains operational knowledge of molecular and biochemical analysis techniques and keep up to date with new developments and know-how in marker technology and analytical methods platforms in seed quality technology.
- Participates in the scouting of new techniques and equipment.
- Critically analyses the various alternatives and give recommendations on Capex investment needs.
- Contributes to the writing or the updating of SOPs, including complex operations
- Critically analyses SOPs and, when required, improves procedures in laboratory practices.
- Drive improvements in operational effectiveness
- cost reduction, reliability, traceability and safety.
- Advise supervisor in training needs for the team
- Ensures compliance with all existing Safety, BioSafety, QMS and Stewardship standards.
- Promote quality culture in all lab operations.

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Graduate level or master’s degree with 5 years of experience or equivalent
- Good knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of laboratory procedures, eg: PCR and next generation sequencing.
- Good project management and communication skills
- Experience with ISO/ Quality Management System
- Software skills: Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS), NGS data analysis software, Power BI
- Able to work under time pressure, sense of urgency and accuracy
- Teamwork and leadership skills
- Languages: English
