Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to spearhead our Cash Management Sales efforts in Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth in transaction fees and interest income through strategic partnerships and solution selling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution cash management products and services to complement operating accounts in banks, fostering strong relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
  • Formulate and execute cash management strategies to increase revenue streams, collaborating closely with Relationship Managers across the Business Banking units.
  • Capture and retain operating accounts with payables and receivables flows, ensuring 'sticky balances' and capturing an equitable share of wallet through targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers to provide product advisory, design solutions, and win cash management mandates, driving business development and growth.
  • Lead in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) / Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Cash Management services, showcasing expertise and building client trust.
  • Participate actively in pipeline reviews, tracking sales activities, providing deals status updates, escalating issues, sharing successes, and lessons learned, ensuring seamless collaboration and results-driven teamwork.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners on joint sales calls, account planning, wallet sizing, sales strategy, and plan execution, aligning teams and driving business outcomes.
  • Coordinate and interact with Marketing, Product, Relationship Managers, and other business units to create product bundles, campaigns for mass selling purposes, leveraging collective expertise and resources.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business and marketing/sales background, with at least 4 years related working experience.
  • Independent and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in client fronting and relationship management is an added advantage, but not a prerequisite.
