Overview

Microsoft's Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization responsible for the commercial partner business. Our mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services, and devices with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more.

We are seeking a Partner Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your sales management skills, deep technology industry knowledge, and best-in-class interpersonal abilities to empower our partners to bring market-defining solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

You will develop and execute a strategic and tactical partner business plan directly aligned with Microsoft goals and objectives for all managed partners. This will involve promoting cloud consumption and digital transformation, and developing go-to-market plans and co-sell execution tactics to drive partner pipeline growth and sales.

You will also be responsible for building and maintaining trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite leaders of complex partners, aligning their priorities, strategies, and goals with Microsoft's to drive growth and strategic alignment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science, or a related field, and 10+ years of partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development experience in the technology industry.

Alternatively, you may have equivalent experience. A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field, and 12+ years of experience may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with consultative selling and developing tactics to manage pipeline, sales opportunities, and meet sales goals is highly desirable. A proven history as a strong negotiator with the ability to influence and persuade to achieve mutually satisfying agreements is also essential.
