Job Title: Senior Institutional Business Development Director

Job Description:

  • To drive sales growth in the South East Asia market through institutional and HNW channels, primarily focusing on fund distribution businesses.
  • Collaborate closely with the Hong Kong office to execute sales strategies and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Identify customized approaches to work with each institutional client, leveraging market intelligence and industry trends.
  • Acquire and integrate market insights, client feedback, and product trends into business plans to inform sales strategies.
  • Develop and deliver professional sales presentations, product updates, and market outlooks to institutional clients.
  • Potentially take on CEO responsibilities from a MAS perspective, overseeing institutional business development in the region.

Job Requirements:

  • A Business or Economics Bachelor Degree.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant sales experience and business engagement in the Financial Services industry, particularly in asset management, with client-facing experience in institutions and family offices.
  • At least 10 years of managerial experience or experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Able to articulate complex investment strategies to both experts and prospects/partners with varying levels of financial literacy.
  • Good understanding of fund products and other investment vehicles.
  • Result-oriented with strong initiative and drive to succeed.
  • A disciplined individual who can respond promptly to serve existing clients and other investors across the market.
  • A person who is thorough with client engagement strategies.
  • A strong team player who can work independently, yet contribute to achieving common objectives in a constructive, collaborative, and team-oriented manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin to serve the China market.
  • Proficiency in another Asian language is an advantage.
  • A presentable personality to conduct seminars, presentations, regular sales pitches, and briefings to clients fluently and convincingly.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidates with more experience will be considered for Managing Director level.
