Roles & Responsibilities

The Guest Service Ambassador is a professional responsible for providing exceptional and courteous guest service. Serving as the initial point of contact, they play a vital role in creating a positive first impression for hotel guests.

The ambassador's key responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently process guest arrivals and departures.

  • Distribute room keys and inform guests about room amenities and hotel services.

  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.

Customer Service Excellence:

The Guest Service Ambassador must exhibit exceptional customer service skills, making guests feel welcome and valued. They provide accurate information about the hotel, local attractions, and services. They handle guest complaints or issues with patience and effective problem-solving.

Payment Processing:

The ambassador collects payments for hotel accommodations and additional services. They maintain accurate billing and payment records.

Communication Skills:

The Guest Service Ambassador possesses strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues effectively. They handle phone inquiries and reservations courteously and professionally.

Computer Proficiency:

The ambassador utilizes basic computer skills for guest check-in, reservations, and record-keeping. Familiarity with hotel management software is a plus.

Professional Appearance:

The Guest Service Ambassador maintains a neat and professional appearance. They greet guests with a friendly smile and offer assistance as needed.

Physical Stamina:

The ambassador can stand for extended periods and handle luggage and assist guests with mobility as required.

Job Requirements:

The candidate must possess at least GCE O-level or equivalent qualifications. A minimum of 1 year of hotel front office working experience is preferred. Candidates with no related experience will also be considered, as on-the-job training will be provided.

Key Qualities:

The ideal candidate is a pleasant and well-groomed individual with good communication and interpersonal skills. They enjoy interacting with guests and working in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

The Guest Service Ambassador works rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays (9–12 hours). They are a good team player, able to work independently and under pressure. The candidate must be able to commit to working midnight shifts as required.
