This role is ideal for an experienced business development professional looking to drive commercial growth and spearhead project development initiatives.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving key business development initiatives, leading project development from conceptual inception to Financial Close (FC), and ensuring seamless collaboration across markets, businesses, and functions.
The incumbent will leverage their expertise in financial analysis, commercial structuring, and negotiation techniques to develop bids, proposals, and presentations that meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing business development strategies to drive commercial growth and expand market share;
- Leading project development from conceptual inception to FC, including originating projects with customers, lobbying with government authorities, and securing project deliverables;
- Co-ordinating with functional experts to drive project planning, execution, and approvals processes;
- Engaging with relevant government agencies to secure necessary permits, licenses, and approvals;
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven track record in business development, FP&A, or commercial optimisation, preferably in the power and utilities industry;
- Experience working with Singapore's electricity market is highly preferred;
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience;
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, process mapping, and analysis tools;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- Driven and resourceful, able to work independently and as part of a team;
