Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role:

The Head of Data & Analytics will lead the Zuellig's enterprise Data Analytics and AI programs, enabling data-driven decision-making, predictive intelligence, and AI-powered automation across commercial, supply chain, digital health, and consumer engagement.

This role will oversee the development of scalable analytics platforms, while also driving the adoption of next-gen AI capabilities, including agentic AI systems, machine learning, and conversational AI, to create intelligent workflows and business value.

Expectations of the Role:

Management/Stakeholder Relationships

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align analytics initiatives with business objectives and requests and work closely to achieve delivery of quality outputs
  • Supervise team performance, development, and task delegation
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize AI and analytics use cases that deliver tangible ROI.
  • Embed a culture of data-driven thinking and responsible AI use across the organization.
  • Build and manage a team of data scientists, data analysts, and BI analysts.
  • Promote continuous learning, AI experimentation, and agile delivery practices.

Analytics and Operational Reporting Delivery

  • Work with business teams to understand & define their key data needs to support analytics and operational delivery for clients
  • Work with Data Platform team to develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry practices and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee delivery models, methods and practices for creation of data products and to ensure consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions.
  • Establish and maintain trust in data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making.
  • Support with establishing the framework and operating model that enables effective data governance & management locally in the region
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define data governance roles and responsibilities and promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability
  • Supervise the data steward & business/data analyst activities, provide guidance/support
  • Establish and implement data quality standards, critical metrics and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all systems and platforms
  • Report progress on data cleaning / data quality activities
  • Support regional and global MDM activities and outcome/critical metric delivery
  • Drive the automation and self-service approach for operational reporting
  • Providing data quality analysis of issues to stakeholders
  • Lead analytics projects and generate actionable insights through advanced analytics, data modeling, and segmentation. Your work will optimize business outcomes and drive critical initiatives
  • Driving data integrity and reporting quality

Data Operations

  • Ensure key data operation tasks are maintained to ensure business continuity
  • Collaborate with other teams to leverage capabilities and respond to organizational needs.

Data Analytics & AI Solution Delivery (Oversee development and deployment of analytics solutions including:)

  • Descriptive & diagnostic dashboards
  • Predictive models (forecasting, churn, segmentation)
  • Prescriptive analytics using AI optimization
  • Lead implementation of agentic AI systems that can reason, plan, and act across digital workflows (e.g., automated brand performance monitoring).
  • Champion conversational AI solutions to enhance customer engagement (e.g., AI-driven virtual reps, internal knowledge agents).
  • Accelerate time-to-insight via ML pipelines, automated reporting, and AI solutions for internal teams

Attributes Required:

Must-Have:

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in BI, analytics, data analytics with at least 4 years in a management or leadership role
  • Experience working in a large, complex environment, with a range of stakeholders, across multiple business units
  • Background in data-related field: data analysis and visualization, data quality, data warehousing, data engineering, marketing, sales and operations, financial reporting
  • Strong affinity with, and interest in new trends in AI & Data (including Data Governance and quality)
  • Expertise with relational databases, warehousing and lake-house technology - SQL Server, SAP HANA, Looker, PowerBI, Databricks, Snowflake, Google Cloud Storage, Google BigQuery and VertexAI
  • Extensive understanding of data management. Including awareness of the security, privacy, ethics and quality requirements for data, and data analysis techniques
  • Experience in logical and physical data model design and broader data architecture design
  • Prior development experience in some of SQL, R, python for data processing, PowerBI, Looker

  • Demonstrated leadership with strong business acumen and emotional intelligence
