Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Acquire projects and/or support the senior management in acquisitions and sales through strong client engagement
  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts, data scientists, and ESG professionals in the development and execution of data-driven ESG strategies for financial institutions.
  • Work with senior leadership to create and implement tailored data analytics and ESG solutions that address the unique needs and challenges of financial institutions (banks, asset managers, insurers, etc.).
  • Align ESG objectives with client goals, ensuring that data analytics is leveraged to drive sustainable business outcomes and improve overall financial performance.
  • Provide actionable insights into ESG risks and opportunities through data, helping clients optimize their ESG investments, mitigate ESG-related risks, and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deploy analytical tools, dashboards, and models to track and report ESG performance, sustainability metrics, and compliance for clients in the financial services sector.
  • Utilize machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics to develop predictive models that evaluate the financial impact of ESG factors such as climate risk, social responsibility, and governance practices.
  • Oversee the development of ESG disclosures and reporting for financial institutions, ensuring compliance with global ESG standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understand their unique ESG challenges, and tailor data analytics solutions to meet their strategic objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team of data scientists, ESG analysts, and consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Use data to measure and demonstrate the impact of ESG strategies on business performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Analytics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field. Certifications in Data Science is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership or advisory role within the professional services sector serving financial institutions.
  • Proven track record of leveraging data science and analytics to drive ESG transformation in the financial sector is a must.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies for financial clients, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ESG standards is a must.
  • Expertise in financial products, risk modelling, portfolio management, and performance measurement in the context of ESG is a must.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Hadoop, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex data and insights to non-technical and senior stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of ESG risks, opportunities, and the application of data analytics in assessing their financial impact.
  • Ability to think strategically while being hands-on in delivering data-driven solutions.
  • Proven experience with ESG reporting and disclosure frameworks and an in-depth understanding of regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a results-driven approach.
