**Description**

**Job Summary**

The Head of Data & Analytics, APAC is a strategic role providing leadership across the region to drive and embed data literacy and data-driven decision making in commercial teams in their day-to-day activities as well as strategic planning. At the same time, CooperVision is undergoing a data and systems transformation to ‘massify’ our infrastructure and to better connect data that will enable us to unlock value from greater data-driven insights. A key part of this role is to drive this transformation effort as well as to identify and animate business opportunities from data innovation.

**Essential Functions**

As the leader of the APAC Data & Analytics function, you will:

- Lead the development and roll-out of appropriate KPIs in support of key commercial programs and enablers including pricing and contract management, sales effectiveness and execution, customer-level insights, commercial and management BI.
- Through user-centric co-creation, design easy-to-use tools to effectively deliver actionable insights for various user groups.
- Partner with appropriate commercial leads to establish data-driven governance to enable the commercial functions to drive efficient and effective processes, robust control, and compliance, and importantly, business improvements.
- Partner with appropriate commercial leads to provide quantitative and analytical support, for example, with Sales Effectiveness lead to drive sales resource allocation assessment, review and delivery including territory alignment initiatives, sales incentives/ performance management.
- In conjunction with Global owners, be responsible for the performance of data systems and tools, advocating for needs of APAC users.
- Champion the case for change in areas related to data utilization, management, and governance.
- Understand and effectively communicate to business leaders and users the implications and opportunities of data connectivity within the current and future ecosystems.
- Pilot and roll-out data innovations and advance analytics tool, paying particular attention to the ‘operationalization’ of these tools.
- Establish strong data governance standards and procedures, ensuring compliance and maintenance of data standards. Leading the related organizational change management effort.
- Represent APAC commercial interests in key operational committees, system development and implementation projects (e.g. ERP, CRM, Customer Master Data, BI). Act as project lead as appropriate for clearly defined objectives and activities.
- Be the critical bridge between the technical expert community (data/ IT) and commercial leaders and community.

As a senior functional leader, with a strategic scope of responsibilities, the nature of the role will evolve over time.

**Qualifications**

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Scope, develop and execute complex projects across several stakeholders including multiple functions, levels of seniority and geographies, including associated change management.
- Lead cross-functional teams, demonstrate follow through and operate successfully at all levels within the organization, leading through direct management and through influence
- Ability to drive actionable insights from data that will have a strategic impact on business
- Executive-level communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to plan and execute against clearly defined timelines is essential
- Systems thinking with the ability to make end-to-end connection between data, systems, and commercial outcomes across multiple functional areas
- Flexible style to accommodate business demands including facilitation and thought leadership
- Recognized people leader

**Work Environment**:

- Office-based role
- International travel up to 50%

**Experience**:

- 12+ years of related experience, at least 3 of which in a leadership capacity
- Proven track record as a commercial leader using and developing data-driven insights and decision making, with demonstrated commercial results
- Experience in commercial projects at regional level with demonstrable result and a leadership role in significant a transformation or change effort
- MNC, healthcare or FMCG background would be an advantage

**Education**:

- Minimum of degree level, in a strong quantitative discipline (e.g., Finance, Quantitative economics, Actuary, Mathematics, Engineering)
- Formal qualification in a technical field such as computer science, data & analytics, IT, is beneficial but not essential
- MBA would be an advantage
