Roles & Responsibilities

Summary

Working with the Manager, HRBP, the Assistant Manager, HRBP plays the critical role of handling full spectrum of human resource functions that includes workforce planning, talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, payroll and compensation management, employee relation and other relevant people operation matters. He/she is responsible in assisting to lead the team with day to day operations of the HR functions, and an effective HR business partner to the business leaders.


Daily engagement at work

Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition

  • Work with Business Unit head to develop and execute recruiting plans
  • Guide business leaders in the selection of candidates with right skills, competencies and culture fit through effective screening and assessment processes.
  • Take charge of the candidate's journey from sourcing to onboarding, in line with company policies and relevant legislation.

Performance Management, Learning and Development

  • Develop and assist in meeting the employees’ performance indicators and performance goals of employees and aligned to business requirements.
  • Implement 360-degree performance review process by providing employees and managers with information about the process, policies, job duties and process for promotion.
  • Ensure the training and development activities are effectively executed to regularly analyze and track the development needs of employees.
  • Drive the learning culture of the company to ensure the learning and development activities are aligned to the corporate and business strategy.
  • Oversee orientation and induction programs for all employees.

Payroll and Compensation & Benefits Management

  • Ensure monthly salary documents and pay items are processed for payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyse compensation data to drive useful insights for benefits enhancements.
  • Lead the administering of employee benefit programs.

Employee Relation Management

  • Provide advice on HR issues as well as comprehensive HR solutions to organizational issues proactively.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact to assist all employees in accordance with the Company’s
    policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation.
  • Handle employee relations matters, which include disciplinary issues, grievances, performance improvement plan and other issues concerning employee engagement.

Policy Review and Interpretation

  • Review and recommend Human Resources policies that are aligned with the company’s business and corporate objectives.
  • Ensure that the employee handbook is in compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in communicating company policies to promote understanding within the organization.

Projects and Corporate Support Operation

  • Assist in leading the comprehensive Work-Life Harmony strategy through corporate health and sports activities.
  • Assist in driving process improvement and operation efficiency (e.g. Human Resource Information System Automation Project Implementation and Maintenance of the system).
  • Assist in managing HR Documentation in relation to company’s ISO Audit in Quality, Safety & Health, and Information Security for annual re-certification, company’s administration and building facility activities.

Team Mentoring

  • Guide and mentor junior HR team members to develop their HR competencies.
  • Provide sound advice and direction to the team in the absence of Manager, HRBP


Essential knowledge and attributes

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or similar discipline
  • At least 5 years of hands-on HR operations experience , including guiding juniors team members
  • Passionate in the development of others
  • Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter at tasks and resourceful answer finder

  • An overall cheerful, people-oriented team player
