- Airwallex is looking for a Talent Development Manager/Associate Director to lead the build out of our talent development pillar for Airwallex globally. In this role you will partner with our global People & Talent teams and leaders to design, pilot, and scale effective programs that drive performance management and employee effectiveness. This is an exciting opportunity to build up a talent development capability from the ground up that focuses on both talent development and performance management, bringing in best practices and tailored approaches that fit the needs of Airwallex. You will be responsible for both strategy and delivery ranging from identifying development needs, creating early manager training, partnering with regional teams and business leaders on functionalspecific programs, to selecting an LMS alongside our People Systems team.
- The outcome of your programs will help Airwallex scale globally, develop future talent, and result in an engaged and thriving workforce as we continue our mission of empowering business globally. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will help business leaders look around corners with datadriven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.
- What you will do:
- You will own the build out of Airwallex talent development & talent management capabilities which will involve a mix of strategic planning, execution, and delivery. You'll serve as a coach and consultant in identifying effective programs.
- Work with leaders in the business to collaboratively design and deliver talent development programs throughout employee lifecycles(e.g. onboarding programs, early manager training, early career training, and leadership programs for leaders at all levels)
- Partner with our Head of People & Talent to assist in organization effectiveness practices/models alongside functional leaders.
- To succeed, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to think strategically, work with data and frameworks, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.
- Deepdive into our employee lifecycle and craft thoughtful integrated solutions for upstream and downstream talent programs
- Partner with the HR Systems team to deploy the company's first LMS platform to deliver talent development content across the company Success in this role will require influential partnership with middle and senior management within the organization to execute the HR strategies that foster organizational and people effectiveness. The individual in this role must understand business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda that supports the business as it grows.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited university; advanced degrees welcome
- 36+ years of experience with a mix of rapidly scaling companies, multinational tech/internet companies and/or consulting experience, with experience focusing on talent development.
- Experience designing and leading learning and talent development programs, preferably in consulting and highgrowth environments
- Prior experience managing teams; passionate and curious about potentially growing and developing teams globally, partnering and influencing peers, and coaching in a "train the trainer" model
- Proven track record in successfully piloting new strategic initiatives, iterating on improvements and scaling delivery.
- Experience with cross cultural project management at all levels with a consultative approach and persuasive communication.
- Prior experience in a commercial or functional team, e.g. Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, etc. is a plus, as we value crossdisciplinary leaders
- Excellent analytical skills which involve working with quantitative and qualitative data.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and and manage different workstreams.
- Thrive in a fastpaced ambiguous environment while working autonomously.
- A team player with great interpersonal skills and enjoys working with others in a collaborative, teambased environment.
