Role description:
This role will provide professional HR support in the development and delivery of the People Promise, transactional elements of HR and interventions to get the right result for internal clients.
The role will report into the Head of HR Operations GBDP and Market Head Singapore. The role will have responsibility for 3 direct reports as well as interaction with the HR Shared Services team.
Role accountabilities:
- Act as focal point of HR to Business leaders to provide strategic and operational people initiatives to positively influence business objectives
- Line management responsibility for an HR team to support daily HR operations covering the entire employee life cycle including, from recruitment induction, performance management, reward review, exits etc., ensuring that the HR plan is delivered consistently, and in line with best practice and legal requirements
- Have good understanding of the business unit (billability, pipeline projects, revenue) and how it creates value and where HR can add commercial value
- Research market best practice and local legal requirements to continuously review and analyze HR processes and practices to make the necessary updates and improvements
- Provide advice and solutions to business leaders on people related issues, establishing action plans focusing on vital opportunities to provide solutions that add value or mitigate risk
- Analyze and put action plans in place to address feedback received either verbally or through Your Voice engagement surveys. This may include but is not limited to adjusting current and future work practices, policies, procedures etc
- Enhance performance excellence and ensuring all HR operational activities are driving business objectives
- Lead all HR change initiatives including but not limited to digitalization of the HR function, new ways of working etc
- Develop and ensure the delivery of an efficient and timely HR service to our people
- Proactively support, guide, coach and build capability in line managers to manage performance management, talent identification and succession planning
- Support, develop and coach HR team members with their personal and professional development to ensure continuous improvement, progression and an HR succession plan
- Additional ad-hoc projects and duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Human Resource or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years' of relevant experience working in an MNC organization
- Solid generalist HR experience gained across HR Ops, C&B, L&D, TA etc
- Detailed knowledge of Singapore labour law and practices
- Ability to effectively address and influence key stakeholders at all levels
- Good attention to detail, good organizational, planning and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coach, advise and challenge business leaders and line managers
- Self-driven, independent, proactive and a good team player
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English
- An ability to demonstrate commercial and cultural awareness and understanding of the business and its operations and translate this into practical processes that can be utilised
