The Business Development and Investment Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the organization's K–12 education portfolio through strategic partnerships, new school development, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The role requires strong analytical, financial, and project management skills, combined with a deep understanding of the education sector and investment landscape.

The incumbent will identify opportunities for expansion, evaluate financial and operational feasibility, lead due diligence, and support senior leadership in negotiations and decision-making to ensure sustainable growth of the school network.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new opportunities for school development, acquisitions, management contracts, and partnerships in target markets.
  • Build and maintain networks with property developers, investors, government agencies, and education stakeholders.
  • Conduct feasibility studies including market demand analysis, competitive landscape mapping, pricing strategy, and enrolment potential.
  • Prepare business cases, proposals, and presentations for internal approval and external stakeholders.

Investment & Financial Analysis

  • Develop and analyze financial models for greenfield and brownfield school projects.
  • Conduct ROI, IRR, and NPV analyses to assess investment attractiveness and risks.
  • Support due diligence on acquisitions, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships, coordinating with legal, finance, and academic teams.
  • Prepare investment memoranda and board papers for decision-making.

Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor trends in international and private school education, including curriculum preferences, enrolment demand, pricing benchmarks, and regulatory developments.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to guide portfolio growth and competitiveness.
  • Support long-term expansion planning and pipeline development across multiple geographies.

Project Development & Management

  • Manage end-to-end project development processes, from site selection and concept planning to business launch.
  • Coordinate with architects, planners, regulators, and operators to ensure timely delivery of school projects.
  • Track performance of existing investments and propose optimization strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as liaison with investors, financial institutions, government authorities, and business partners.
  • Support negotiations and contract structuring with external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and investor meetings when required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years' relevant experience in business development, investment analysis, real estate development, or education sector management.
  • Proven track record in financial modelling, investment evaluation, and project feasibility studies.
  • Strong knowledge of the private and international school sector (K–12), including market dynamics, curriculum models, and enrolment drivers.
  • Experience in M&A, joint ventures, or large-scale project development preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to translate data into strategic insights.
