About the role
This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and enhance brand visibility. Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth and enhance AMOS's market presence in the marine and offshore energy sectors. This role involves leading a dynamic team, building robust client relationships, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives.
Main responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement sales plans to meet geographical or revenue targets and drive P&L growth, ensuring alignment with AMOS's overall sales strategy to promote the company's products and services.
- Anticipate and address local market challenges and opportunities to promote AMOS's products and services effectively
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor and manage the sales and marketing team, assigning sales budgets, setting performance objectives and fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Ensure each team member understand how their efforts contribute to meeting customer needs and business aims and values.
Market Research
- Conduct thorough market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
- Utilize data effectively to inform business decisions and identify new opportunities.
Capability Assessment
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge at each stage of the sales process, providing effective capability assessment, development and performance management, identifying skills gaps and supporting team development.
Client Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key account clients and stakeholders.
- Engage with customers regularly, upselling, cross-selling, and driving organic growth opportunities
- Conduct quarterly business performance reviews for all key accounts.
- Manage the customer contract, including compliance checks, seeking required approvals prior to offering and for all existing agreement to the renewed timely.
- Review the sales pipeline, top-line revenue, margin performance and initiate corrective actions
Sales Management & Performance Monitoring
- Own and achieve annual sales budgets within assigned accounts.
- Ensure adherence to all global sales policies, processes and guidelines related to key accounts
- Secure maximum buy-in from key customer stakeholders, including senior management, and maintain optimal relationships across account teams
- Develop and deploy growth strategies and plans for the area and business streams under the position's responsibility, in conjunction with Operations and (Key) Account Managers across the respective region.
- Monitor key account sales, provide weekly performance reports against KPIs, provide weekly reports and propose solutions to enhance low-performing key accounts, aiming to meet and exceed annual sales targets set by the management team.
Budget and Forecasting
- Provide quarterly forecasting of sales and budgets for all key accounts.
CRM Management
- Maintain a consistent and accurate customer relationship management system, entering information from customer contacts or research to drive effective customer communication and business development activities.
Opportunity Identification
- Constantly seek new projects and market updates from the industry, providing quarterly forecasting sales and budgets for all key accounts.
- Identify and pursue new customers through various lead generation activities
Tender Facilitation
- Facilitate tender responses for all potential new business opportunities
- Work closely with business development and sales support teams to deliver safe, quality, cost-effective solutions.
Collaboration and Transparency
- Collaborate cohesively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure account growth plans are understood and supported across the respective region.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing or related field is preferred
- Minimum 5-years of experience in sales and marketing role, preferably in ship chandlering/marine supplies/PPE industry will be an advantage.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent follow-through skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Skilled and experienced in proposal writing and business presentation, commercial data analysis and report writing.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and marketing tools
