**But before you apply, be aware**:
Kenno is a small and nimble organisation. Each functional team will have 1-3 members, and your colleagues will work in several geographical locations. That means you may feel isolated occasionally, and you need to work independently to achieve your objectives.
We do a lot of different things. We analyse new investment opportunities and work with existing investee companies. We deal with requests from investors, service providers and other stakeholders. We work on internal projects and continuously try to improve our operating platform. That means your responsibilities may vary substantially, and you must "wear multiple hats".
There is a lot to learn. You may have substantial prior experience, but between learning about our investment approach and becoming adept with our internal processes, you'll likely feel "underwater" for the first several months. However, if you're an ambitious and driven individual, you will enjoy the steep learning curve.

**THE ROLE: HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT**:
As the Head of Business Development, you will drive Kenno’s growth and success by identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships, and building strong client relationships.
In this role, you will also collaborate closely with the rest of the leadership team to develop and implement effective business development strategies aligned with Kenno’s strategic objectives.
**Business development**:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to grow Kenno’s assets under management.
- Identify potential clients, target markets, and partnership opportunities with third-party distributors and marketers.
- Lead the client acquisition process by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the fund management industry.
**Client success and engagement**:
- Build strong relationships with clients, third-party consultants, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee the client onboarding process to ensure a positive client experience from day one.
- Take complete ownership of organising and orchestrating tailored excursions, events, and other engagement activities for our clients, providing end-to-end management and ensuring a seamless and exceptional client experience.
- Develop and implement client success initiatives, leveraging these opportunities to enhance client satisfaction, foster positive word-of-mouth, and drive upselling and increased investment with Kenno.
- Process all queries and requests for information and collaborate with the investment team to tailor investment reporting that meet clients’ specific needs and objectives.
**Marketing and communications**:
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies and campaigns to enhance Kenno’s brand awareness and reputation.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote its expertise and build relationships with key industry players.
- Develop and organise internal processes and procedures to ensure consistent and timely investor communications (quarterly reports, investor letters etc.)
**Leadership and management**:
- You will fully own the business development function, including developing and executing strategies to communicate effectively with clients.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing between teams and team members.
