The South East Asia Sales Office (SEASO) exists to assist the organization achieve its Revenue and Diversification by providing Cross Border
**logistics services** to our clients via 2 main methods:
- 1.
** Direct acquisition**
- Acquiring and retaining Regional B2C cross border clients who engage with the organization across multiple countries
- Acquiring B2B clients (SMEs, wholesale, retail, suppliers etc), who export/ import in bulk to and from SEA
- 2.
**Enabling **our Country Sales Teams with the capabilities to execute Cross Border Sales
As part of the SEASO team, the incumbent will be at the frontline of onboarding and ensuring operational success of shippers, while supporting the team to work with Cross Border Operations team and liaise with KAMs of all 6 core countries to problem-solve and ensure a seamless shipping experience for the shippers.
The incumbent is expected to have a client-facing demeanour, can-do attitude and takes initiative and demonstrates flexibility to address all types of shipper issues. We prize team-first mentality, accountability to shippers and tenacity to solve difficult issues to retain SEASO shippers amidst a very competitive landscape.
**Responsibilities**:
- Be accountable for assigned annual revenue/ shipper acquisition targets and acquisition targets for outbound acquisitions
- Understand and scope target customer segments/ addressable markets to facilitate outbound acquisition
- Make outbound prospecting communications to build and manage lead development pipeline via networking, research and marketing initiatives
- Account-manage large shippers on daily operations (smooth handover of parcels, SLA monitoring, compensations, remittance, billings)
- Communicate independently with Cross Border Operations, Country Key Account Managers KAMs on shipper problems (shipper info changes, SLA lapses)
- Liaise with and cross border XB team to ensure SOP adherence of shipper
- Generate and run through performance monitoring reports with shippers by conducting MBRs
- Ensure maximum value extraction from existing clients to expand scope of opportunities to new lanes and services
- Receive and respond to inbound inquiries from potential customers
- Qualify sales leads based on specific lead qualification criteria
- Maintain well organized, up-to-date and accurate sales information and activity reports in Salesforce CRM system
- Provide inputs to marketing / commercial teams on shipper profiles / client segments the team wants to acquire
- Give feedback to commercial / solutions team to impact pricing decisions/ internal sales process
**Requirements**:
- Minimally a Bachelor's degree in any field, with 1 - 2 years of business development experience
- Previous experience in logistics, 3PL management or similar activities will be advantageous
- Prior knowledge of sales process and activities preferred
- Confident and effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong presentation skills
- Able to influence and negotiate with others using active listening and persuasion skills
- Ability to analyse data to identify operation issues and solutions
- Possess a positive attitude when dealing with complicated, trouble shipper issues
- Proficiency in Mandarin and/or an additional SEA language preferred
