The 'Relationship Manager-Asia' plays a crucial role in building and sustaining strong relationships with current strategic clients, potential customers, partners, and significant figures in the industry. This position is dedicated to nurturing and expanding our strategic customer base within the region, all the while maintaining a low customer turnover rate for WEX. Additionally, the role involves analyzing market trends and customer performance, identifying growth opportunities for our business, and facilitating the adoption and long-term integration of WEX solutions within their operations.
This is all in conjunction with the Senior Director & GM APAC, Commercial Director - APAC and any supporting teams. The role will require a strong sense of leadership to both manage senior client relationships whilst contributing to the Singapore team.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain mutually beneficial and profitable relationships with existing customers, prospects, partners and key industry stakeholders resulting in strong customer growth rates and with negligible customer attrition.
- Engage and manage existing customers across Asia, expand and convert share of wallet opportunities.
- Conduct competitor analysis, deliver client presentations, prepare proposals and participate in negotiations.
- Deliver financial results in line with agreed budgets, revenue and profit targets.
- Provide leadership and management with a clear view as to the financial performance and results arising from your activities as a part of the wider APAC team.
- Provide feedback and insight into the APAC travel marketplace competition; Identify existing competitors and provide insight into the WEX Travel competitive position within the marketplaces we operate.
- Foster ‘WEX values & culture’ being a global payments business that is one of a leading challenger in the market, securing significant market share and building a profitable business.
- Achieve full utilization of Salesforce to enable efficient and effective management of the client base, sales opportunities, the team, reporting and communication
- Play an active leadership role within the Asia region and contributing to the wider WEX team, whilst extending the development of a can-do, pro-active, positive, winning team spirit
- Generate positive feedback from those you meet both internally and externally and by doing so generate positive associations with the WEX brand helping to grow the WEX business

Key Qualifications and Experiences
- Knowledge of Travel Technology and B2B Payments (Cards, Processing, Services) industry sectors highly desirable
- Account Management / Relationship experience with demonstrable record of success in growth/profitability
- Experience with ‘C’ level engagement
- Competent and fluent in Mandarin
