Job Description

(a) Be part of a team that conceptualizes and executes R&D initiatives involving the Marine and Offshore (M&O), Maritime and other Ocean sectors, including multi-disciplinary programmes and projects.

(b) Facilitate the negotiation, establishment and management of commercial contracts and R&D collaboration agreements with stakeholders, including industry partners and public sector collaborators. This includes the preparation of commercial or project proposals and the associated budget or pricing formulation in close partnership with Technical Leads.

(c) Support Technical Leads to manage R&D programmes, projects and other initiatives to ensure timely progress and achievement of their deliverables.

(d) Engage industry players, Research Agencies/Institutes, Institutes of Higher Learning and other stakeholders, both local and international, to establish and grow partnerships and collaborations.

(e) Assist TCOMS management in other functions, such as in public communications initiatives, the conduct of ocean basin experiments and tests, knowledge management and documentation control, and other duties in support of initiatives driven by TCOMS.

(f) Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements
- Degree in engineering, science or related disciplines.
- Preferably with at least two years of work experience.
- Possess strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
- Results oriented, pro-active, and a team player.
- Possess good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to perform under time pressure.
