
Mailroom Officer

The post holder will work as a member of the mailroom team to ensure efficient, effective and proactive running of the mailroom service. This role provides the backbone of Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) managed service operations. The post holder will perform a variety of tasks related to the mailroom function, and will flexibly and proactively respond to any client requirements as and when necessary.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- The post holder will be professional at all times when dealing with clients and proactively represent SPS on site promoting excellent customer service
- Arrangement and coordination of incoming and outgoing item (includes couriers and mails)
- Performing routine mail rounds daily
- Perform outdoor messenger and other functions when required
- Use of franking machines.
- Dealing with enquiries from the client, both face-to-face and on the telephone.
- Filing and retrieving documents, within an established filing system.
- Escorting of service and vendor management within the office premises
- Processing of courier invoices for payment handling
- At times carry heavy products within the client’s premises.
- Handling of office and pantry supplies
- Any other duties commensurate with the above list
- Adhere to Swiss Post Solutions policies and procedures
- N.B. Post holder will be expected to undertake manual handling duties within their physical capabilities. If you have any concerns, which will limit your ability to undertake this type of work, it is essential that you alert us at interview regarding this.
- Use of computers and basic knowledge of Microsoft office
- Able to communicate and write fluently in English
- Responsibility in attendance and completion of daily duties
- Be courteous and provide professional customer service
- Able to handle fast-paced environment
- Show flexibility regarding shift start and finish times
- Discipline, responsible and is a team player
