APAC Executive (M/F/d)

IN A NUTSHELL
This position gives an insight in the Design HotelsTM activities in the Asia-Pacific area. The Executive is supporting the team in all projects related to Sales, Account Management and Business Development.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales / Reservations
- Support the APAC sales team with hotel reservations via internal systems (Synxis and various Design Hotels tools and platforms)
- Familiarize oneself with product knowledge of member hotels
- Work on market reports for the APAC team via Excel and Tableau
- Negotiate/close FIT or group bookings and able to handle complaints or objections
- Help organize and co-ordinate sales membership services events such as DS Affairs, Industry Spotlight, Virtual Meetings etc
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
- Prepare appropriate presentations on products and services
- Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve company and APAC goals
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal peers

Account Management, Portfolio
- and Business Development
- Assist Account Management in monitoring AMF spend, contract renewal dates and member hotels’ needs
- Update member hotels’ database on Caspio
- Update team on APAC trends that will affect member hotels’ business
- Participate in regular catch-up calls with member hotels
- Help finding leads for potential member hotels in APAC
- Mentor and train incoming interns
- Support Account Management and Portfolio Development team on areas that require assistance

EXPERIENCE & MINDSET
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in hospitality or tourism
- Strong analytical and administrative skills
- Independent and highly self-motivated
- Good team player
- Creative and attention to detail
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Proficiency in MS office (especially Excel) and experience working with Keynote beneficial
- Able to travel 25% of their time
