**How will I have an impact?**:
We are looking for an organised, dynamic and high-performing Financial Controller to join the COO’s Office of our APAC team. Reporting directly into the COO, you'll act as a strategic financial advisor and business partner to the Rainmaking APAC business leaders, assisting the firm in establishing and achieving its strategic business and financial goals. You'll collaborate closely with the regional and global Finance and Accounting teams of Rainmaking APAC's parent company and the Rainmaking APAC Board.

**The Role - What's My Focus?**
- **Accounting and Compliance**
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of business results and financial position, global financial policies and processes, and financial systems; inclusive of managing daily operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee expenses (travel) and corporate credit cards.
- Execute and oversee month
- and year-end closing activities and provide timely, complete, and accurate submissions of financial information in accordance with local statutory reporting and U.S. GAAP.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and processes for Rainmaking APAC that provide for control over assets and expenses, proper recognition of revenue, complete and accurate financial reporting, and compliance with applicable accounting rules.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulatory authorities and reporting requirements (e.g., annual tax return, tax assessments, tax audits, internal and external financial audits, payroll reporting, etc.). You'll work work closely with our parent company's tax department on all required tax returns and notify of any risks that arise.
- Foster strong business relationships with bank, insurance broker, and external audit, tax, and other advisors and service providers, ensuring relevant global head is involved prior to any engagements.
- Respond timely and diligently to our parent company’s regional and global accounting inquiries and requests.
- Work closely with the parent company, providing accurate and timely financial reporting.
- **Financial Planning and Analysis**
- Drive, develop, and manage the annual planning process, including the annual plan, three-year plan, and reforecast. Ensure plans support Rainmaking APAC’s financial objectives with appropriate consultation with business leaders.
- Develop financial strategies and policies for efficiency, cost control and productivity enhancement in compliance with corporate guidance or principles.
- Monitor performance against plan and establish early warning signals to ensure that plans are met or that corrective actions are taken. Avoid surprises through proactive oversight and communication.
- Implement and maintain appropriate and effective cash management practices and controls, working with our parent company’s Global Treasury.
- Ensure revenue forecast is up-to-date, price realisation is maximised through timely reporting of project price realisation and commercial input, receivables are collected in a timely manner, and regular utilisation of the business is transparent.
- Report headcount in the relevant system, review forecasted headcount assumptions, monitor actual versus forecasted headcount, and provide data and analysis as required, in coordination with Human Resources.
- Support our parent company’s regional and global functions through pro-active communication and timely responses to requests for information e.g., revenue forecast, cash flow reporting, monthly variance analysis and year-end reporting.
- **Commercial Support**
- Influence management decisions by providing accurate, concise, timely, and commercially relevant information and business insights, adding value through simple, innovative, and pragmatic solutions.
