Our Client is a prominent conglomerate with an international footprint and has market leading positions in the various businesses that they are in.

Plans are underway to establish a new strategic business unit that will be headquartered in Singapore, capitalizing on the success of some existing business in some key markets. The new business operating model will be one that’s focusing on exponential growth via online, offline and O2O channels into Southeast Asia markets. In this regard, they are looking to bring in an experienced HR professional who will be part of the core management team in this new business unit.

Reporting directly to the CEO of this business unit, you will be a strategic business partner to all business and function leaders and be part of the senior leadership team. You are expected to play an instrumental role as the business unit embarks on its aggressive growth strategies.

This is a very visible HR leadership role and the core responsibilities include, amongst others, the following:

- Formulate and translate business plan into executable people plans. Ensure full alignment of business strategic priorities with structure, culture and talent priorities across the different markets
- Build and strengthen capabilities of the HR function to achieve operational excellence and ensure corporate HR governance - including formulating and implementing HR policies/procedures and sharing best practices with HR teams across markets
- Partner with CEO and the leadership team, help shape and build the desirable culture that is congruent with the organization’s core values
- Help build a high performing team via proper design and execution of policies and practices in acquiring, rewarding and developing talents
- Act as an advocate of the company’s values and culture to create a best-in-class work environment

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 15 years related work experience of which minimum 5 years must be in a senior leadership role
- Regional experience in managing multi-cultural leadership and HR teams
- In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices, ideally with regional exposures in SE Asia markets outside Singapore
- A strategic thinker with the ability and willingness to work hands-on when required
- Dynamic, positive attitude with a strong business focus and commercial acumen
- Possess excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills
