Lending Advisory Solution (LAS) is responsible for:
Growth of bank’s total loan book achieved by:
Introducing new lending products and maintaining existing product shelf for global BOS operations.
Handling complex credits from initiation to execution (client meetings, advisory, internal stakeholders’ negotiations, presentations for approvals).
Developing an open architecture lending platform by onboarding financial institutions and managing referral of clients to such financial institutions.
Defining strategy for growth of loan book in collaboration with stakeholders.
Main Duties:
New Product Approvals:
End-to-end product approval process – NBF, FS, PAC for products related to LAS. Preparation of documents for NBF, FS, PAC. Analysis and preparation of business cases in collaboration with FO.
Addressing pre-launch conditions raised by FS and PAC.
Launch of marketing material and conducting training prior to launches.
Drafting of product-related operational procedures documents.
Product Shelf Maintenance:
Annual review of all LAS products.
Annual review – Working with FO and product specialists for updated business case, performance numbers, justification to continue offering the products etc.
Product pipeline – Work with product specialists for regular updates to FS, PAC and GMC.
Operational Efficiency & Controls:
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency.
Establish policies, procedures and controls to run a robust operation and comply with all regulations.
Business Management:
Coordinating internal reporting to various departments of the Bank and OCBC Group.
Preparation of MIS for ongoing reviews of business performance at pre-determined frequencies and ad-hoc if required.
Support Head of LAS for all LAS-related matters, presentations, policy, collaboration and strategy matters.
Work closely with other stakeholders within ISG on projects, new launches, regulatory matters etc.
Identify front office training needs and address these needs in consultation with the Head of LAS.
Lifecycle Management:
Structure, write and present credit proposals for annual reviews to internal stakeholders for approvals.
Meet clients with front office, if required, to better understand client’s credit needs and improve quality of transaction structure being proposed.
Qualifications
Requirement:
Good degree from a reputable institution in business, finance, law, accounting or tax.
Other disciplines to be considered keeping in view candidate’s work experience.
Relevant experience in related roles or supporting similar role with 10+ years of working experience.
Good understanding of financial products and services relating to LAS.
Awareness of legal and regulatory environment in key markets, and how these affect services delivery to clients.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diversified client and employee base.
Excellent interpersonal and client skills.
Ability to use enterprise tools for data analytics and reports.
