Vice President, Investment Services Specialist

HSBC is seeking a highly skilled Investment Services Vice President to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our Investment Services team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Investment Services function, which includes Insurance General Accounts (GA) and Investment Linked Products (ILP).
Key Responsibilities:- Anchor for General Account investment support, including trade activities, collateral management oversight, inter-fund transfer activities, and fee administration.
- Prepare and review documents covering multiple asset classes, such as REITS, Private Equity, Infrastructure Debt, etc.
- Prepare and review portfolio account opening, fund manager transition, and new fund manager onboarding.
- Manage KYC and AML review as and when required.
- Agreements review and negotiation, such as custodian-related and operating memorandum, ISDA, and CSA.
- Oversee and prepare daily cash management and ensure sufficient funding and float.
- Support the full lifecycle of ILP sub-funds' coverage, including trade order placements, settlements, NAV valuations, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely submission of internal, external, and regulatory reports.
- Involve in both internal and external audit.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the CIO, Investment team, product fund team, external fund managers, and other affiliated companies such as HSBC Asset Management.
- Mentor and coach staff on day-to-day matters.
- Candidate with 12 to 15 years' solid experience in investment middle and back-office function, preferably within the Insurance or Asset Management industry.
- University graduate with additional professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Investment viewed favorably.
- Good knowledge of local regulations, such as Monetary Authority of Singapore Notice 307 and Securities and Futures Act.
- Good understanding of investment instruments, such as equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and derivatives.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload while working in an agile manner.
- Prepared to be hands-on and deliver high-quality output.
- Comfortable and able to make sound decisions in conflicting environments.
- Strong risk and control mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholders' management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work under minimal supervision and deliver quality output.
