Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Services Assistant Vice President to join our team at Mizuho Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trade-related transactions, including checking and managing transactions, managing trade processing systems, and performing EOD operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage trade-related transactions, including checking and managing transactions, managing trade processing systems, and performing EOD operations.
  • Handle Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and country sanction matters.
  • Safe-keep documents and Export LCs.
  • Perform housekeeping for the team.
  • Report cases of error and incident nature to management.
  • Perform doc checking function per checking limit matrix.
  • Perform follow-up/tracing on outstanding items.
  • Support other staff in case of need.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff.
  • Adhere to HOP and IOP (not limited to Part 8 where applicable).
  • Participate/lead in project/ad hoc work as assigned.
  • Assist the Section Head in the supervision of the team.
  • Support the Section Head to achieve departmental goals.
  • Support insourcing and outsourcing businesses.
  • Take on a supervisory role for BCP for split office when Section Head is at a different location.
  • Assist in cross-team business areas.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership, meticulous, and ability to multitask are attributes that will help the candidate perform successfully in this role.
  • Additional professional qualification of Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) would be advantageous.
